In San Antonio, Dan Rebmann is making a meaningful difference through his work in philanthropy. As the CEO of Beneficent Financial Services, and as an SVPSA Partner, he focuses not just on financial success, but also on uplifting and empowering the local community.
For a little context, Dan graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary and believes that faith and business can work together. This faith has shaped his company and his approach to philanthropy since its founding. He often says that “workplace ministry” can have a strong impact in our everyday lives. Under his leadership, Beneficent Financial Services has positively influenced the philanthropic landscape in San Antonio in many ways.
A key part of Dan’s mission is collaboration, which is evident in his involvement with Social Venture Partners San Antonio (SVPSA). He knows that working together can strengthen community ties and enhance the efforts of local organizations. “SVP gives me that leverage,” he explains, highlighting how partnerships support those focused on making San Antonio better.
Dan also loves storytelling , which led him to create a podcast called ‘Philanthropy SA.’ In his show, he shares the inspiring stories of nonprofits and the people driving change in the area. Unlike typical financial podcasts, ‘Philanthropy SA’ focuses on personal experiences rather than just numbers.
“San Antonio is blessed with many who think outside their own walls and want to make this a better community,” Dan shares, capturing the spirit of his show.
He believes that anyone can participate in philanthropy, no matter their financial situation. Dan encourages young people to find their passions and engage with causes that matter to them. Giving back, according to Dan, is not only about money; it’s also about building relationships and connecting with others.
Dan advises nonprofits to treat their donors as friends and not just sources of funding. By understanding supporters on a personal level, organizations can foster deeper connections and thrive alongside their communities.
In a world that often feels divided, Dan Rebmann shows that true leadership is rooted in humility, humor, and commitment to others. ‘Philanthropy SA’ is more than just a podcast; it’s a celebration of the generosity that defines the San Antonio community and inspires others to be part of the journey of giving back.
